Cougar food for hot flashes

Suffering from hot flashes?  Why don’t you try nori, kelp or dulse?  Don’t be turned off by the fact that they sound like some hipster’s kid’s names, they are actually sea vegetables.  These magnesium rich gems from the sea help eliminate those not so subtle sensations so you won’t have to strip down in heated situations (unless of course, you want to).

Oh, and sea vegetables are not just for Cougars. They are an excellent source of iodine and vitamin K, with a good amount of B-vitamin folate, magnesium, iron and calcium.  They’re really great for pregnant woman and especially beneficial for anyone with an underactive thyroid.

Not sure how to incorporate them into your diet? Try throwing some nori strips into soups and salads.  Buy dulse and kelp flakes and sprinkle while cooking.  Stick kombu into a pot of beans and enjoy wakame in miso soup.

Now that’s hot.
